A live geography quiz for your class.
You host it on the projector; your class joins at kartavera.com/join with a six-character code. No student accounts, no app to install, nothing to prepare.
How it works
- 1Set it up
Pick the question types, the region, how many questions and how long each one stays open. Opening a room takes ten seconds.
- 2The class joins
Put the code on the screen. Students open the join page on their phones, type the code and a name — that is all.
- 3Play it together
Every question appears on the screen and on every phone at once. Right earns 100 points, quick earns up to 100 more. After the last question: a podium, the full ranking and a CSV for your records.
Made for a classroom
- Free for up to 60 students in a room
- No accounts for students — a name is enough
- No ads in the room, no tracking of students
- Twenty-five question types, from flags to World Heritage
- In six languages, with the same questions
Questions teachers ask
Do students need accounts? No. A student opens the join page, types the room code and a name, and is in. Nothing is stored about them: the room lives in the server's memory for the lesson and is gone afterwards.
How many students can join? Up to 60 in one room. For a bigger group, open a second room — a room takes ten seconds to set up.
Which languages does it work in? English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Serbian. The screen and every phone use the language of the page they opened; the questions are the same.
Does it work on phones? Yes — the join page is made for a phone in a browser, nothing to install. The projector screen is any browser on the teacher's computer.
